Alice Holt Forest

ALICE HOLT BIKE HIRE NOW CLOSED FOR WINTER.
2024 REOPENING DATE TO BE CONFIRMED SOON

About the forest

Just 4 miles south of Farnham, Alice Holt Forest is a great place for cycling which is easily accessed from London. The forest itself has various well-signposted and car-free gravel roads which are brilliant for short rides, especially for families, who can combine a bike ride with a walk, picnic or visit to GoApe.

Alice Holt is also a great start point for longer rides, whether you are looking for off-road mountain biking or exploring quiet country lanes. Local highlights include the scenic Frensham Ponds and the Shipwrights Way

Forest Family Trails

For short rides, especially with children, the Family Trail is safe and ideal, comprising of  mostly wide gravel paths. This 3 Mile (5km) trail makes a lap of the forest, taking in the beautiful Lodge Pond and can easily be completed in an hour, but if you want to take your time and explore some of the more remote parts of the forest, a couple of hours would be ample.
