Places to eat and drink
There are a number of good options for rides starting and ending at QECP, whether you are after coffee and cake or a pint and pub lunch.
The Red Lion at Chalton
The Red Lion in Charlton has a garden with plenty of tables and is an easy 3km from the park so works well as a place to stop towards the end of, or even after your ride.

The Five Bells in Buriton
The Five Bells in Buriton is a great place to stop for lunch, though you’ll need to keep some energy for the climb back up the South Downs and the descents back to the base of the park.

Cadence Cafe Upwaltham
Cadence Café at Cocking Hill is a good bet for a break at the halfway point of a South Downs Way out and back ride, or any number of full-day circuits.

The Three Horseshoes Elsted
A splendid pub with delicious home cooked food. An open fire, low beamed ceilings, fairy lights…everything you want from a country pub in winter.
In summer there’s a big garden with fantastic views across the South Downs.
